Automation Engineer
About the Role
We are looking for an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering and production teams to improve machine performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and troubleshooting PLC programs, configuring HMI and SCADA systems, integrating sensors and industrial devices, and supporting the commissioning of automated machinery. You will also analyze system issues, perform preventive maintenance, and implement improvements to existing automation processes.
The successful candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of industrial automation, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in industrial automation or a related engineering role.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Allen-Bradley.
- Knowledge of HMI and SCADA systems.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet/IP, or Profinet.
- Basic knowledge of electrical control systems, sensors, actuators, and motor control.
- Ability to read and understand electrical and control system diagrams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer or project sites when required.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle technical issues in the field.
- Proficiency in English is preferred.
